The Shona peoples are renowned for their soap stone sculptures. Each one original, and skilfully chiselled out of the indigenous serpentine soapstone, the sculptures range from abstract creations to bird baths, groups of mushrooms, snails, chameleons, hippos, old shoes, faces and many more. The choice is as wide as the imagination.
